Servant leadership and employee voice: a moderated mediation

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine the effects servant leadership on employees' promotive voice behavior and prohibitive by focusing mediating role job engagement moderating proactive personality. Design/methodology/approach Time-lagged data were collected using a field survey research design. participants included 216 employees 23 supervisors in two commercial banks China. Findings Perceived was positively related behavior, these relationships mediated enhanced engagement. In addition, personality amplified relationship between perceived engagement, effect behavior. Research limitations/implications This study enhances understanding mechanisms underlying – model identifying results also demonstrate enhancing leadership. However, design not longitudinal, which limits study's ability confirm causality. Practical implications findings reveal that leadership, can facilitate Originality/value addresses unexplored mechanism offers new directions for research.
